PPANI

CJI’s Chief Inspector Brendan McGuigan has welcomed the progress made by the Public Protection Arrangements Northern Ireland (PPANI) in a new inspection report.

The report identified that levels of engagement between the various partner agencies remained high with those posing the highest level of risk subject to rigorous management by Public Protection Teams made up of police officers, probation officers and social services staff.

“Despite the ongoing positive commitment to PPANI which we identified there is no room for complacency and partner organisations must ensure that consistency in relation to key personnel, smooth succession planning and an ongoing commitment to resourcing is maintained and information is shared between partner organisations is an effective and efficient way,” said Mr McGuigan.
