Jacqui-Trees.jpg“I am delighted to take up the role of Chief Inspector and look forward to leading the CJI team and continuing to build on the valuable work of my predecessor Brendan McGuigan CBE” said Ms Durkin.

“CJI is a progressive organisation, clearly focussed on improving the criminal justice system.  I look forward to creating new relationships with the justice, voluntary and community sector organisations and other key stakeholders to further improve and develop the criminal justice system.

“Giving assurance to the public on where the system is effective, as well as highlighting where it needs to be better, will be a key feature of my role.

“At an early stage, I will be taking an active role in creating the Inspection Programme for the next financial year and working with my team to develop a challenging and relevant Business and Corporate Plan,” she added.
