CJI has extended its thanks to those victims and witnesses who completed the Inspectorate’s recent survey.
The six week long survey was launched in September came to a close at the end of October.

“CJI is very pleased with the level of interest shown in the survey and I am happy to say we have received a range of responses from victims and witnesses from all walks of life who have engaged with the criminal justice system,” said Lead Inspector Derek Williamson.

“Their experiences have provided us with valuable information which we will now be looking at as part of the final stages of the fieldwork for this inspection on how victims and witnesses are treated by the criminal justice system.

“It is our hope that we will be able to incorporate this information into the inspection which will assist us in making recommendations that will enhance the experience of future victims and witnesses,” he said.
